Agribusiness is the biggest contributing factor to climate change.This calls for a combined efforts in extending services to farmers to adopt climate smart agriculture approaches that promote sustainable production while at the same time mitigating factors that accelerate climate change.
Good practices such as soil sampling and testing,data analysis and evaluation on prevailing pests and diseases,moisture and temperature prediction are combined with other cultural practices to facilitate farmers in determining when to plant,what fertilizers to apply,what chemicals to buy and when to apply them,when to irrigate and how much food to produce per unit land area.These increase land productivity and sustainability of food production.
Life skills training’s are vital in helping farmers relate well with other fellow farmers, clients and partners. Skills such interpersonal relationships, personal finance behaviors, good feeding and diet balance are among much other training that directly influence how farmers work, correlate and sustain production of health and quality food
